Coaching Add-On Packages Exclusive to Pedal Britain


To help you prepare for your Pedal Britain event/tour we offer four levels of coaching to suit your needs: 

1. Kickstart Service: 
The essentials.  
  • This is a free 30-minute, no obligation telephone consultation to answer questions and help you understand a little more of what is required in terms of training and preparation for your event/tour. 
Who is it for:
  • Anyone who has signed up to a Pedal Britain tour/event, and may have never done anything like this in the past,  or just want some pointers.
  • If you would like to take advantage of this, please contact us.

2. Basic Coaching Package
The essentials: 
  • 12-week programme using the Trainingpeaks platform. 
  • Uses heart rate based sessions (power zones will be provided if you have a power meter or smart trainer). 
  • You can do these either on your bike or on a turbo trainer using Zwift, Trainerroad, BigRingVR, etc.
Who is it for:  
  • Pedal Britain clients that have a good base level of fitness who need minimum interaction with a coach, but need a structured plan to prepare them for their chosen tour.
It includes: 
  • Two/Three interval based workouts per week to build aerobic capacity and lactate threshold (based on you specific heart rate and/or power zones) to help you cope with the hills and rolling countryside that you will encounter.
  • Defined sets of training blocks (Base, Build and Peak).
  •  Weekend rides to build stamina and resilience for the long days in the saddle.
  • Two telephone reviews with tweaks to the training plan based on your progress.

3. Premium Coaching Package
The essentials: 
  • 12-week programme using the Trainingpeaks platform.
  • Gym-based strength and conditioning to build power.
  • Unlimited Access to the coach using Email/WhatsApp for advice and guidance.
  • Uses heart rate based sessions (power zones will be provided if you have a power meter or smart trainer). 
  • You can do these either on your bike or on a turbo trainer using Zwift, Trainerroad, BigRingVR, etc.
Who is it for: 
  • Pedal Britain clients that have a good base level of fitness who prefer regular and ad-hoc interaction with a coach to prepare them for their chosen tour.
 It includes: 
  • Two/Three interval based workouts per week to build aerobic capacity and lactate threshold (based on your  specific heart rate and/or power zones) to help you cope with the hills and rolling countryside that you will encounter.
  • Defined sets of training blocks (Base, Build and Peak). 
  • Weekend rides to build stamina and resilience for the long days in the saddle. 
  • Ad-hoc access to the coach by email/WhatsApp.
  • Four telephone reviews to discuss your progress with tweaks to the training plan as needed. 
  • Weekly cycling-specific strength workouts (gym based). 

4. Supplementary Monthly Coaching Package
  1. This is a monthly package designed as a standalone plan, or as an add-on to the 12 weeks if you need a longer period of time to prepare in the lead up to your tour. 
  2. Each month's plan builds upon the previous month, ensuring continuous improvement and progression
  3. Limited to 6 months maximum (we will review the suitability to continue after the 6 months).
